David Grounds was a great man and Evertonian.
He loved his days out watching the team with his boys Nick and Ben and the wider ESCLA family – in particular the European tours.
He battled bravely with dementia for many years, and this sadly took him away from us too soon, but his courage and determination was a testament to the man he was and will be forever remembered.
It is with regret that he won’t be able to say one final goodbye to Goodison, nor experience our wonderful new stadium, but we know he will be enjoying the games from now on in spirit.
